Leading by Example

Working in an all-girls school has broadened Chef Heather’s influence and strengthened her own voice. “For young women, it’s important to stand up for ourselves. Don’t allow your voices to go unheard or ideas to be dimmed.”

Making Students Feel Seen and Heard

Through food, Chef travels to over 30 countries each school year bringing countless cultural observations, food holidays and seasonal cuisines to her students. Chef Heather loves celebrating diversity and introducing global flavors to broaden both palates and educational horizons.

Women Supporting Women

Chef takes the initiative to discover ways that celebrate community and small business while delighting her guests. Heather partnered with Monsoon Kitchens, a woman-and-minority owned business located in the town right next door. Their wonderful samosas were an instant favorite on the Meatless Monday menu.
